Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Milo & Lina Money Academy (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates this website and the related 52-week learning experience. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under U.S. federal and state privacy laws.

2. Information we collect

  • Account info you provide: name, email, password (hashed), and parent/guardian status.
  • Learning progress: lessons viewed, quiz answers, badges earned.
  • Payment info: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy.

3. How we use information

To provide and improve the service, process payments, communicate with parents, secure the site, comply with legal obligations, and (only with consent) measure and personalize marketing.

4. Children's privacy (COPPA)

The service is intended to be used by children with a parent or guardian’s involvement. Accounts are created by parents/guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the educational activity (e.g., progress within lessons), and we do not condition participation on the disclosure of more information than necessary. Parents may review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child’s information by contacting us at privacy@miloandlina.com. We do not show behavioral advertising to children and we do not sell or share children’s personal information.

5. How we share information

We share information only with service providers (hosting, analytics, payments, email) bound by contract, when required by law, or with your consent. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some uses of advertising/measurement cookies may constitute “sharing” under California law — you can opt out at Your Privacy Choices.

6. Your U.S. state rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to: access, correct, delete, port your data; opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising; appeal a denied request; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To submit a request, email privacy@miloandlina.com or use Your Privacy Choices. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing.

7. Data retention & security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use industry-standard safeguards but no system is 100% secure.

8. International users

The service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

9. Changes

We will post any changes here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated by email where appropriate.
